Thought for the day:  Dave Taylor is the scariest man on campus.  If you don't believe this, you should have seen Bailey's face today when we thought he was coming in the grill.  We're gonna make shirts...are you in Dave's army?

I ate too much today.  I'm gonna get fat.  uggg....

I got to see Katy Head!!!!!

If you go to the bookstore tomorrow, say Happy Birthday to Jack!!!!

I was in my first ever class at Milligan where there were actually more guys than girls...and it was an upper level English class...go figure....

Now to Environmental Science and Mary Wollstonecraft so Dr. Cook continues to like me...because if she didn't, then having her for class every day is going to be pretty unbearable....

I'm back...interesting summer to say the least...I catered several parties with my mom...absolute insanity...we did get to do one at the Taylor House though, for 80 people that was kinda fun...but now the phrase that gets said in my house most often is "no more parties!"...of course, we both know that's ridiculous and we'll do more parties because my mom cannot tell anyone no,(except when they try to pay us, she's very good at saying no then!) but it still makes us feel better to say it...

I had a great birthday party with about 10 middle school kids and Josh...I built a huge maze in my yard...there was one boy who kept throwing sticks in everybody's hair and another one that kept jumping over people while they were standing up...we dressed Josh up like the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland...hehe...I have pictures...

I also had a pirate-themed lock-in with the girls from church at my house...I made myself a costume which actually turned out really well...I just need a hat...the party involved a treasure hunt, walking the plank...and lots and lots of water balloons, among other things...I also have the Pirates of the Carribean life game now...

Europe was fantastic...Dr. Dillion said he had never been on a trip when every student had been so interesting...I went to Baker Street... I bought a Plague Rat Hand Puppet from the Globe Theater...His Name is Gustav and he is going to come to chapel with me...I got to see where William Blake is buried...I saw a floating person!!...I got blessed by the Pope...and I got to stand where Audrey Hepburn stood in Roman Holiday...not to mention I saw a bunch of art and architecture and stuff like that...

Since I got back, not a whole heck of a lot has been happening...I've bought about twenty new movies and lots and lots of broadway CDs...I made a log of all my movies and I have over two hundred (not counting the ones I've taped off the TV)...yeah, I'm pretty pathetic...I've discovered that Wicked did not at all show Norbert Leo Butz to his full talents...you must listen to the Last 5 Years...and I've leaned that Stephen Sondheim was an absolute Genius...

Speaking of which, the most wonderful piece of news I've learned this summer is that they are making a movie of Sweeney Todd in 2008, directed by Tim Burton and supposedly staring Johnny Depp...I can easily see J.D. playing Sweeney, but I'm afraid I cannot picture him singing the demanding score for that musical...after all it destroyed the voice of one of the most talented men on Broadway in the original production...I certainly hope that they don't cut the songs out but I'm just happy they're bringing the Demon Barber of Fleet Street to the screen regardless...and they couldn't have picked a better director...

Well the highlight of my summer since Europe was getting to see Pirates 2...Josh took me the first night it came out...very entertaining evening, I've got some great stories from that night, but I don't feel quite right posting them here so ask me later!...Somehow I get the feeling that Ashley will particularly enjoy them...hehe...

At the Library...Dr. Farmer's wife and little girl are here too...My teeth are so beautiful!...popcorn tastes just as good as I remember it...less than a week until Europe...I had the best birthday I've had in years...I got to spend it with my favorite person...hehe...planning my birthday party for this week-end...it should be quite an experience...

I'm as corny as Kansas in August,
High as a flag on the fourth of July.
No more a smart little girl with no heart,
I have found me a wonderful guy!

I am in a conventional dither,
With a conventional star in my eye.
And you will note there's a lump in my throat
When I speak of that wonderful guy!
